An organic creamery and farm store on a third generation family farm
We believe that wholesome, flavorful food begins with healthy soil and animals. We’re proud to have brought you distinctive organic Vermont cheeses, yogurts, and pastured meats from our family farm in the heart of Vermont since 1959.
As farmstead cheesemakers, we can look out the window and see the cows that produced the milk we are turning into cheese or yogurt. Our products are infused with a deep appreciation & desire to honor the land and cows that allow us to practice our craft.

We proudly practice
Organic Regenerative Farming
We know that the quality of our cheeses and yogurts is intimately tied to the health of our land and animals. Since we started farming this land in 1959 we've practiced regenerative farming - though we didn't label it regenerative back then; it was just farming. In a nutshell (in a cheese rind?), this means meeting all the organic standards required to be certified organic while also increasing the ecological diversity of our soils.
The cows graze on pasture, we use the cow's manure to fertilize the land, and then we hay our fields to feed our herd throughout the winter. The cow's milk is turned into cheese and the by-product of cheesemaking, whey, is fed to our forest-raised pigs. The cheeses, yogurts, and meats feed us and our community, and our community supports our family run farm with every purchase.
